I haven't been on this thing in forever. Which is bad of me considering I've been around a lot for an RPG or two. Just not my personal recently.

For those that would like to participate, because I don't want to post two separate lists, I'm doing a 28 flavors Meme over this way! If you aren't exactly sure what that means, well, list of prompts, list of characters, you tell me what you want to see.
I'm even going to go ahead and say for those on IJ, if there's a character(s) you really want to see me write a prompt for that isn't on that list over there, toss them into a comment anyway.
And the joy of this is, there's no cap on the requests. So as many or as few as you want to see.

Why is it that if I go on amazon to find out of an author has a new book I suddenly have a page full of new books I want?! I mean...OMG...9 more authors to my watch list...

My house really is going to end up being a library....

Two for one in these wee mornin' hours. Because I HAD to look at my friends list on LJ. And I HAD to poke at a community I'm waiting on approval for membership for. And I HAD to poke to make sure if I knew or not the person they were talking about.

Part of what saddens me is I recognized the name. It was in the subject line of the post, which is what got me to clicking to read the post in the first place. I went, huh, I know someone that goes by that. Maybe there are two of them?

And then I found his website...which has pictures...of him and one of his wife. And my brain first went 'Fuck! I DO know him!' And the second thought was "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS!?!"

1.) I didn't know he wrote a book. Granted, I shouldn't be surprised. Seems they'll publish anything now days. This isn't too surprising also because while yes, I know him and friends of mine are friends of his...I'm not particularly fond of him. He's a right pure git, and I don't mind saying so on the whole of the internet with my post set on public. After all, it isn't liable if it's true.

2.) Where the fuck does he get off saying he's well known?! Because fuck if he's well known in the small community in the area where he lives, let alone to the rest of the world. Yea, I know him. But how many in our ever growing community know me? That's right, Only those in the Chicago area. And usually it's by "Oh so YOUR Stan & Dori's daughter?!" Though, being VP of the MPC is getting me higher in the radar scale for the section of the community that knows about the MPC and goes to PPF. But still!

I swear to the gods...the world is...and the publishers are....GODS!
I don't know whether to laugh at how absurd he sounds...or cry that this is allowed to happen now days.
